Where do i belong?

Quite a few of us do get that feeling sometimes, do i really belong here? its usually not that serious, just that that question pops into into our head when we seem to be in a different place.

imagine sitting with friends, they start talking on a topic, that nearly all are interested in and you just sit there. you mite start to think 'do i belong here?'. this may not happen very regularly, and you don't really give that much of thought to it. (of course if it happens quite a lot of times, when u meet them, then i think its time u hve to look for new friends).

but today i was walking outside in my area. a big walking circle(nearly) where lots of people come and walk in the morning, evening, night. The area is open and great(though some idiots have bought the place and will most probably make a commercial building there). in the inner part of the circle people usually play cricket. usually three or more different groups playing at one time.

today as i was walking, i just felt like sitting and watching them play(been a long time since i've seen cricket being played for the fun of it, not for commercial purpose). so i sat. and watched.

one of the fielders beside me was shouting out in marathi( cudnt catch much, m still nt dat gr8 at it). he went on for about 10 seconds then he turned to me and asked whats the time. now thats fine, but the whole thing is that he asked me in english. it would again be fine, but the thing is, from the way he spoke it seemed he went through a lot trouble to acutally come up with the right words, and even more trouble to actually get the pronounciation rite.

at that point of time it hit me, why didn't he ask in hindi? he definately knows hindi, and im sure i look that indian enough to show people that i know hindi. why did he go through all that much of effort?
thats when i started thinking. where do i actually belong? i mean in which place can i go and people will ask me in their local language, and not in the "universal language"(english)?

i am and indian(gujurati) born in mwanza(tanzania, africa),living in pune(maharashtra, india). in pune people are definately not going to talk to me in marathi cause i absolutely do not look like a guy who speaks marathi(and which i dont). but there have been times (when ive not shown people that i known hindi) they usually start of in english. so the question arises, don't i look like an indian at least?
the situation is kinda similar in gujrat. there i know gujrati. but still people who see me for the first time, try their best to talk to me in english.
of course the fact also rises up that people want to show that they are wordly wise, but not everybody rite?
so the question is, do i belong to india ?

when i am in africa, i definately do not look like a tanzanian. so people are gonna start talking to me in english(if they know), and not in swahili(the national language, of which i know a decent amount).
so do i belong to tanzania?

now people talk to me in english. do i belong to uk, us, australia..? if i go der, people will definately talk to me in english, but surely will not consider me as part of their country. cause i look asian.

so where do i belong?

My second time..

i know its a very boring title. but im just blogging again to get myself into the groove to blog. mayb if i do it regularly i mite just end up giving the world the best of thoughts its ever had(im a very optimistic person)(that u shall notice ahead in further posts).
well yesterday went to a company for an interview for the final year project sponsorship. as in the whole group had the interview. my group member are
Atreyee Maiti- The well read, know the theory and has the knowledge one

Ali Hafijzi- The research guy, also well read, and knows the extra stuff.

Mugdha Goel- The one that will surprise you with anything anywhere and mostly at the right time.

And then there is me. I dont' know wat to say about me. im not that well read (in the technical stuff), my research skills arent dat gr8. well my place in the team is to give it a different way of looking at things. coz my problem is that i can't seem to have a straight view about things(sumtimes even if wont to i cant)

Like this time wen i was wat arnd 6 yrs old. i was in mwanza(the town in tanzania, africa wer i was born) , my teacher in school had asked us to write abt as many dinosaurs and also draw their pics. This we had to make a book kind wid at least 8 pages.

At that age (when there was no google) who know dat much abt dinosaurs(not that i know much abt them now, bt nw ders always google).

so at that age i thought of a gud way out. i took and a-4 size paper, folded into 8 sides, and kinda made it like a book. draw and wrote on that paper. and submitted it to the teacher.

now she cudnt say nething, i was technically rite. at that time i dint realise wat i had dun. bt nw dat i do think abt it. i realise i was quite smart.

its also in accordance with a saying i follow that its the lazy ones that actually invent new stuff. as they say necessity is the mother of invention. i mean the remote must have been invented by a lazy guy.

he was too bored of getting up and changing the channel every time. so he wud b like, wat if i make sumthing so that i can change the chennel from here itslf?

or mayb wrinkle free shirts? y not hve have shirt which does not wrinkle. no tnsion of ironing...

blah..

So anyway bak to my interview, it was gud. it was moslty hr.(dats not technical. they ask questions wer they test ure character). They liked it. hopefully shud get thru.
So now have a few choices of sponsorship, wich is gud thing. the bad part of it is that we have to choose. see the difference?

First time

Well, ive never been the guy who usually gives out his thoughts. Well thats mostly cause they are of some different well i dont know, genre or something like that. I cant help it.

The other day i had gone to chokhidani(a rajasthani theme place).
there i showed my hand to the jyotish(palm reader for those who dont knw), he said i usually am not der at any time. as in im physically present, but the mind is sumwer else.

70% of the time it is true. i kinda think that wateva is goin now is mostly very wordly experiance. der is more to it than just wat is hapenening.

i can't give u an example now coz i have that probelm that i think of stuff anf completely forget abt it after sum time. n wen the time cums to actually remenber it, i usually dont(one reason y i dont really give out my thought. wat to say wen u dnt rem much huh?).

Bt nw ive decided to let the world knw wat im thinking. mayb itl help me in some. dont knw how. So here to blogging.
